Consequently, China, Taiwan, Vanuatu, and South Korea have exhausted their quotas and are forced to halt fishing. The Japanese fleet has completed its saury catch in Russia's exclusive economic zone. Currently, two Russian fishing vessels are monitoring the saury catch, which is still increasing by 800 tons, and approximately 100 foreign vessels, predominantly Chinese, are still actively fishing in the open waters.
