The harvest of vegetables and potatoes in Poland in 2023 is lower than last year

In Poland this year, the vegetable harvest was 3% smaller and the potato crop was 7% smaller. This was reported by AgroTimes with reference to data from the Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS). The area under potatoes in the country in 2023 was about 0.2 million hectares. Productivity - 296 c/ha, which is 4% less than in the past. The potato harvest is estimated at approximately 5.6 million tons, which is 7% less than last year's harvest. The total production of field vegetables (early and late) is estimated at more than 3.8 million tons, which is 3% less than last year.
