Astrakhan farmers harvested 2.5 million tons of vegetables, melons and potatoes in 2023, which exceeds the same figure last year by 9%. This was reported to TASS by the Minister of Agriculture and Fishing Industry of the region, Ruslan Pashayev. “The crop production industry in the agro-industrial complex is key and continues to develop dynamically. At the end of 2023, the volume of production of vegetable and melon products and potatoes in all categories of farms increased by 9% (against the plan of 5%) and amounted to 2.5 million tons,” Pashayev said.
