Russian fishermen are planning to increase exports to Latin American countries, as they already have a significant market in China, South Korea, Japan, the Netherlands, and Germany. The Federal Fisheries Agency is particularly interested in exporting cod and pollock to Latin America. The fishing industry expects a slight decrease in the catch volume from last year, but a rise in other fish species like pollock and ibis. Aquaculture production in Russia is projected to make up 10-15% of the wild fish catch by 2030, with plans to increase production to 600 thousand tons by the end of this year. The industry is also set to see an increase in fish feed production, with plans to satisfy 40-50% of the country's feed needs by 2025 and 80-100% within the next three to four years.
