(Hongcheon=Yonhap News) Reporter Im Bo-yeon = The Hongcheon Culture and Tourism Foundation announced on the 15th that to improve accessibility to the "21st Hongcheon Hanwoo Festival" from the 22nd to the 26th, they will implement the temporary operation of KTX-Ieum trains stopping at Hongcheon Station to facilitate visitors' transportation.
In collaboration with the Gangwon Branch of Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail), for three days from the 24th to the 26th, KTX-Ieum #881 (Cheongnyangni→Donghae) at 10:46 AM and #886 (Donghae→Cheongnyangni) at 4:47 PM will make two additional stops per day at Hongcheon Station. The existing trains will operate normally without changes during the festival period.
Additionally, a free shuttle bus will run in a loop to connect Hongcheon Station and the festival site, timed to match the KTX arrival times for the convenience of KTX passengers.
Special events will also be held for railway passengers. By presenting a KTX ticket, visitors can visit the operations center within the festival theme pavilion and receive a Hongcheon Hanwoo Festival souvenir.
