The intensification of purchases by Egypt supports prices for Black Sea and Ukrainian wheat.

In Ukraine, export demand and wheat prices are rising due to low supply, while global quotations have again turned to decline. According to Bloomberg, the Egyptian state agency Mostakbal Misr, responsible for grain imports, has contracted about 500,000 tons of wheat from Black Sea region countries for delivery in December and January. Of these, 200,000 tons of wheat will be supplied from the Russian Federation, 150,000 tons from Bulgaria, and over 130,000 tons from Ukraine. Additionally, the agency is negotiating the purchase of another 500,000 tons of grain from various countries, and an agreement is expected to be reached in early December. In the context of low supply, traders continued to raise purchase prices in Ukraine, and within a week, export prices for wheat demand increased by 50-100 UAH/ton to 10,550–10,700 UAH/ton for food wheat and 9,900–10,100 UAH/ton for feed wheat with delivery to Black Sea ports, but prices in currency remained at levels of 218–223 $/ton and ...
