The journey of Honaz's famous date palm chips to dining tables has begun.

Honaz Municipality, which has attracted attention with its work in the agricultural sector, has launched the journey of its date palm chips to the tables. Produced hygienically and without additives, the date palm chips can be safely consumed by individuals of all ages. Being the number one producer of dried date palm in Turkey, Denizli's Honaz district is expanding its planting areas each year as the date palm becomes an export product. Providing a livelihood for approximately 1,500 families, date palm is sent to both the domestic market and abroad. Leading the producers and establishing a Local Seed Bank to preserve 2,500 date palm seeds, Honaz Municipality has signed an important project to develop date palm trade. The Honaz Municipality Local Seed Center has started producing chips from date palm grown in the district, completely by hand and under hygienic conditions.
