An inspection has found a producer in violation of national and European regulations for failing to include identification data on eggs prepared for consumption. This resulted in the seizure of 112,590 eggs, valued at EUR 15,000, and the start of two administrative proceedings. Regulations mandate that consumers are provided with information about the product's country of origin, the conditions in which the chickens were bred, and the area where the eggs originate. The FoodFakty team is responsible for monitoring food adulteration and alerting customers about adulterated products through the Probase 360 database.
