The Lebanese Ministry of Economy raises the price of a bundle of Arabic bread

The Lebanese Ministry of Economy and Trade raised the prices of a bundle of Arabic bread “baladi bread”, which is subsidized by the Lebanese government for bakery owners in Lebanon, compared to the last selling price on May 30, 2022. And the Ministry of Economy issued a statement in mid-February regarding moving the prices of a bundle of bread. The “Arabic bread” in Lebanon is the subsidized bread that the Lebanese government provides to its citizens through more than 160 bakeries that have been provided throughout Lebanon. The weight of Arabic bread in Lebanon ranges from 60 to 62 grams, and bread is sold by weight, not the number of loaves.
