In Spain, MAPA orders the slaughter of the calves of the ship 'Karim Allah'

The MAPA has decided to sacrifice the 895 calves found on the Karim Allah ship docked in the port of Cartagena. The veterinary inspection carried out on February 25 and 26 has found that the state of the calves, after two months of travel since they left the same port, prevents them from undertaking a new journey for export to a third country. For this reason, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has proceeded to communicate to those responsible for transport the inspection certificate, as well as the resolution in which they are informed that they proceed to the isolation and sacrifice of the animals, in accordance with the regulations applicable and, if not, it will be the ministry itself who does it in a subsidiary way.
