The mastic and olive harvest has begun in Çeşme.

The geographical indication mastic gum and olive harvest season of Çeşme district of İzmir began with organized events. AK Party İzmir Deputy Ceyda Bölünmez Çankırı, İzmir Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mustafa Şahin, Çeşme District Governor Mehmet Maraşlı, AK Party Çeşme District Chair Pınar Ayyıldız Özen, and MHP District Chair Galip Uluçam, joined both the mastic gum and olive harvest with producers in Ovacak and Ayasaranda. The first event was held in the mastic gum garden of producer Musa Yalçın in Ovacak. Participants witnessed the production process of the geographical indication mastic gum. In Ayasaranda, the first olives of the season were harvested in the olive garden of Lawyer Levent Uşkay.
