The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has published a call for 237,600 euros in aid directed to fishermen enrolled on vessels from the Basque Country, Cantabria, and Galicia affected by the temporary suspension of activity due to the space-time ban applied in French waters during 2024. The order was published last Saturday in the Official State Gazette (BOE). These subsidies fully cover the compensation provided for the days of inactivity and represent direct support to the group of fishermen, complementing the aid already granted in 2024 to the shipowners of the affected vessels, whose call was issued in November of that year.
