Spain and Portugal have reached a quota exchange agreement that will allow the Spanish fleet to have an additional 1,754 kilograms of catch for the Norwegian lobster fishery in the Gulf of Cádiz. The fishery, which had been closed as a precautionary measure, has now been reopened to meet the high demand for the product during the Christmas period. Additionally, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has approved a new extension of the standard for the rabbit sector, which includes a mandatory financial contribution from producers and slaughterhouses to support the promotion and improvement of the sector over the next three years.
