The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has worsened the forecast for the harvest of vegetable crops in 2025 by 11.5% to 7.6 million tons, fruit and berry crops by 11.1% to 1.8 million tons, and potatoes by 3.4% to 19.4 million tons. This is reported by Interfax-Ukraine. "The weather conditions in the spring of 2025 turned out to be unfavorable for the harvests. Spring frosts covered a significant part of the country's territory, especially damaging winter crops, fruit and berry crops, and vegetable crops," the updated Inflation Report of the National Bank, published this week, states. At the same time, compared to last year's harvest, the NBU estimates that this year there will be 11.5% more vegetables, or 0.8 million tons, and 10.7% more potatoes, or 1.9 million tons.
