In 2022, Ukrainian meat and offal exports increased by 9% to $925 million, despite a 10% decrease in poultry meat exports and a 19% increase in their cost. The geographical diversification of meat sales continued, with the European Union accounting for 39% of their value. The Netherlands regained the lead as the top importer of Ukrainian meat, followed by Saudi Arabia. The poultry industry faced significant losses due to the war, but managed to maintain external sales through increased world prices.
