Tridge summary

Specifically, in the first half of this year, the total import and export value at the Qingshui International Border Gate reached 312 million USD, a year-on-year increase of 132%. The main export goods include durian, coffee beans, antimony metal, and tapioca starch; the main import goods include electricity, aluminum alloy, and fresh flowers.

It is worth noting that in the past two months, the export of durian through the Qingshui International Border Gate has increased significantly. In the first half of this year, the total export value of durian reached 158 million USD. Currently, an average of about 40 to 50 container trucks pass through the border gate for export clearance every day.

The reason for the significant increase in the number of durians exported through the border gate to China is that the Chinese functional departments have reduced the testing time for cadmium (Cadmium) and basic yellow O (Basic Yellow O) residues in durians. The testing time has been reduced from 78 hours to 24 to 48 hours. This measure has attracted more enterprises to import and export agricultural products through the Qingshui International Border Gate to the Chinese market.

Ruan Thi Quyen, Deputy Chief of the Qingshui International Border Gate Customs, said, "The functional departments at the border gate, especially the customs department, have increased the intensity of administrative approval reform, shortened the clearance time for import and export goods, and created the most convenient conditions for enterprises to carry out import and export business through the border gate."

In the first half of this year, about 12,000 people handled entry and exit procedures; more than 840,000 people handled cross-border entry and exit procedures. The total tax revenue submitted to the treasury exceeded 145 billion VND, a year-on-year increase of about 25%, completing 75% of the targets assigned by the Ministry of Finance.

In order to further promote the import and export activities at the Qingshui International Border Gate, in the future, the functional departments need to make suggestions to Xuanguang Province, continue to hold exchanges and meetings with the Chinese functional departments, and create more convenient conditions for agricultural products to enter the Chinese market, including extending the border gate clearance time.

Ruan Thi Quyen, Deputy Chief of the Qingshui International Border Gate Customs, said that the functional departments of Xuanguang Province need to continue to invest in improving the border gate infrastructure. Previously, the Xuanguang Province Import and Export Association has been established, but currently, the operation of the association is not yet effective.

Therefore, Xuanguang Province needs to pay attention to maintaining the operation of this import and export association in the future, and use it as a hub for exchanging information with Chinese import and export enterprises, so that domestic enterprises can timely grasp information and actively carry out import and export activities.
