The number of buffalo in Turkey decreased by 16 percent compared to 2020, reaching 158 thousand heads. According to the "Livestock Statistics" data from June 2020 and 2025 obtained from the TÜİK Balıkesir Regional Directorate, the number of cattle was 17 million 189 thousand heads.
