Veterinary authorities have confirmed four new cases of wild boars testing positive for African swine fever, bringing the total number to 13, all located in the vicinity of previous outbreaks and within the perimeter of the area considered to be at highest risk. The Catalan Official Veterinary Services (SVO) have reported the detection of two new outbreaks of African swine fever in wild boars, with one and three animals respectively in each of them. With these two new outbreaks, the total number of reported outbreaks to date rises to five, two of them primary and the other three secondary, including a total of 13 positive animals. In addition, 37 other dead animals have been detected in the area and its surroundings that have tested negative.
