Egypt: The Olive Council is looking into opening new markets to increase exports

Major General Ashraf El-Sharkawy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Union of Producers and Exporters of Horticultural Crops, held the second meeting of the Olive Specific Council to discuss the development of Egyptian exports and work to find solutions to the challenges and obstacles facing the sector. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ahmed Azam, Head of the Services and Follow-up Sector, Dr. Alaa Ezzouz, Head of the Agricultural Guidance Sector, Dr. Saad Moussa, Head of the Economic Affairs Sector and Supervisor of External Agricultural Relations, Dr. Hind Abdel-Latif, Director of the Central Laboratory for Pesticide Residue Analysis, Dr. Shaker Arafat, Director of the Food Technology Institute, Dr. Ahmed Helmy, Director of the Horticultural Institute, and Dr. Mohamed Ali Fahim, Head of the Agricultural Climate Change Center.
