Olive growers in Chile's Antofagasta Region have applied for a collective trademark for their olive oil, aiming to obtain a Seal of Origin from the Chilean National Institute of Intellectual Property. The cooperative, known as "El Hueso de Taltal," has been working with the Institute of Agricultural Research and Enel to improve the quality of their oil. If approved, this would be the first collective trademark for olive oil in Chile, boosting the value and promotion of their products.
