The article highlights the preparation of onion producing and exporting companies for the new export season starting in late February and ending in December, due to anticipated higher profits following floods in India, the primary source of onions. Egypt has secured new contracts for the export of various onion types to numerous countries, including Russia, the European Union, Jordan, the Gulf, and Africa. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, agricultural exports, predominantly citrus, potatoes, onions, beets, pomegranates, grapes, mangoes, fresh garlic, fresh strawberries, fresh beans, guava, and pepper, totaled 5.153 million tons from January 2020 to December 2020. Onions were the third most exported agricultural product, with 431,552 tons.
