The origin price of Spanish extra virgin olive oil, far below those of Italy and Tunisia

The origin price of Spanish extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is situated well below the average quotations recorded in Italy and is also lower than the latest price data from Tunisia, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fishing and Food (MAPA). The latest international comparison, with data from week 22 (from May 26 to June 1), shows a price of 3.526 euros/kg for Spanish EVOO, compared to 9.600 euros/kg for Italian EVOO (172.2% more than Spain's) and 3.780 euros/kg for Tunisian EVOO (+7.2%).
