The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs in China reported a slight increase in the overall pass rate of national agricultural product quality and safety monitoring in the second quarter of 2021, reaching 97.8%, an increase of 0.7% from the previous year. The monitoring covered various agricultural products, including vegetables, fruits, tea, livestock and poultry products, and aquatic products, with most categories achieving pass rates above 95%. However, some subcategories like yam, bream, and catfish had lower pass rates. The ministry has directed local agricultural departments to investigate and handle problem products, conduct regular inspections, and prosecute violations of agricultural product quality and safety regulations.
