The average price of blueberries at the port of shipment fell by 10% this year compared to the previous year, from US$5.73 to US$5.16 per kilogram. This decline is due to increased exports from Peru and new supply from Mexico. The United Kingdom and Europe have seen the biggest drop in price. However, despite the price drop, global blueberry exports are expected to exceed one million tons from 2025/26, with Peru, Mexico, and South Africa showing sustained growth. Peru's blueberry union aims to open 12 new export markets and has recently started exporting to Portugal, Israel, and Jordan.
