In the Mekong Delta, high-quality Musang King durians are priced between 380,000 to 430,000 dong/kg as the harvest season begins. Despite strong export demand from countries like Russia, the United States, Germany, and Dubai, supply issues arise from crop failures and poor weather. Musang King, a Malaysian variety, is challenging to cultivate in Vietnam due to its demanding farming techniques. Vietnam's durian exports have surged to US$2.3 billion, marking a 4.8-fold increase from 2022, with China being the primary market, absorbing 91% of these exports.
