The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 2.2% annually and 1.2% monthly in May, with food and non-alcoholic beverages having a negative impact due to falling fruit prices. Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco remained the same. Over the first four months of the year, food and non-alcoholic beverages prices rose by 1.3%, and alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 0.6%. The most significant annual price increases were seen in sheep meat, mineral water, soft drinks, and juices, while the largest cuts were in fresh and frozen fish, canned fruits, and nuts.
