The production of craft alcohol has been legalized in Ukraine

The Verkhovna Rada passed a law that will help legalize small businesses that produce and sell craft spirits and spirit distillates. This was announced by the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Danylo Hetmantsev in Telegram, Ukrinform reports. The document defines small distillate producers as business entities that produce alcohol distillates and alcoholic beverages from their own distillates, the volume of sales of which does not exceed 10,000 decalitres per calendar year, and establishes requirements for their material and technical base. It also simplifies the production licensing procedure, reduces the cost of a license for the wholesale trade of spirits for small distillate producers from UAH 500,000 to UAH 30,000, and expands the list of spirit distillates permitted for use in alcohol production.
