The price of industrial raspberries this year marks a serious jump, almost double compared to last year. This was revealed to journalists by producer Radostin Stoychev, whose organic farm is located at 1,100 meters above sea level, just two kilometers from Samokov. According to him, the reasons are complex – both in climatic conditions and in the state of the international market. "There is great demand for raspberries because the last two years were unfavorable," Stoychev explains. He points out that a significant part of the plantations in Poland and Serbia have frozen this year, which has further increased the price of fruits on international markets. Although there are no firm prices yet, there is talk of biological raspberries for industry around 9-10 BGN/kg – a level not seen since 2016.
