Lemongrass, a commonly used spice in Asian cuisine, has been successfully cultivated in Ukraine. Alexander Formaggio, the founder of the Hamon Baby gastronomic shop and cafe, announced this on social media, praising the quality of the Ukrainian-grown lemongrass. He believes that other exotic herbs, berries, and fruits can also be grown in Ukraine due to the country's climate. The lemongrass is described as juicy and fragrant, suitable for freezing and long-term storage. The cultivation is currently not on an industrial scale but the yield is superior to that of Thailand.
