Turkey's stocks of sunflower oil have doubled in a year, leading to an increase in exports and a decrease in imports. The country's sunflower oil stocks in August rose to 500,000 tons, largely due to record-breaking imports of 1.27 million tons between September 2022 and July 2023, with most coming from Ukraine. In July alone, Turkey exported 57,000 tons of sunflower oil, primarily to Ethiopia, and has exported 634,000 tons in the 2022-2023 season, surpassing last season's total by 141,000 tons.
