The Russian government has lifted the food embargo on planting fish material, allowing the import of Atlantic salmon, trout, turbot flounder, common laurel, and a hybrid of African catfish for aquaculture development. This decision is particularly significant for Amurstal-Center LLC's project in the Lazo area, Khabarovsk Territory, which aims to establish an innovative fish breeding complex by 2026. The food embargo, initially imposed in 2014 in response to anti-Russian sanctions, has been extended annually, most recently until the end of 2023.
