The Russian government has extended restrictions on the import of certain seeds from 'unfriendly' countries until the end of 2025. The restrictions will affect seeds of several crops including potatoes, wheat, rye, barley, corn, soybeans, rapeseed, sunflower, and sugar beet. These imports will be limited to quotas set by the government, with a total volume of 18.3 thousand tons for 2025. The aim of the restrictions is to support domestic seed production and the development of selection.
