The Rural Development Administration in South Korea has formed a specialized 'field technology support group' to assist farms in the cultivation of subtropical vegetables, which are becoming increasingly popular due to global warming and multicultural families. The group has identified and provided customized technology support to 20 farms, covering areas such as seedling technology, soil/water management, and pest control for 17 crops. The technology support includes guidance on eco-friendly pest control methods and the registration of necessary pesticides for pest control. This initiative has led to a 32% increase in productivity for farmer Kim Seong-un.
