In 2023, Ukraine's agricultural sector was dominated by the cultivation of common corn, soft winter wheat, and sunflower seeds, with sunflowers replacing soybeans as the most popular seeds compared to 2021. The Cherkasy region led in the cultivation of corn and sunflower seeds, while Odesa Oblast was the top region for winter wheat. The regions cultivating the largest amount of seed material of these three grain crops were Cherkasy, Poltava, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Ternopil, and Kyiv.
