The sunflower market is experiencing a scarcity, leading to a surge in prices. Analysts at Spike Brokers have reported a significant increase in sunflower prices by $30-40 per ton without VAT for delivery to processing plants. The prices vary across different buying regions and ports in Europe, with DAP Ukraine, DAP Bulgaria, DAP Italy, CIF Turkey, and CIF Bulgaria all paying different amounts. The pre-harvest rise in rapeseed prices has motivated European producers to sell their sunflower products to factories and reserve logistics for the European crop. The prices for 2024 have also been indicated, with expectations of further increases.
