The Argentine agricultural sector received a positive sign at the close of 2025: the permanent reduction of withholdings began to be reflected in the numbers. However, the relief is still partial. According to the latest FADA Index, prepared by the Agricultural Foundation for the Development of Argentina, the State retains 56.3% of the agricultural income, a figure that confirms that the tax burden continues to be one of the main limitations for the productive sector. The indicator showed a decrease from September, when it reached 60.9%, explained by two key factors: the effective reduction of Export Duties (DEX) and an improvement in international prices for soybeans and corn. Fewer taxes and better values increased income, but did not change the underlying diagnosis: more than half of what is generated by a hectare continues to be destined to pay taxes.
