In the first quarter of this year, the Friendship Pass on the China-Vietnam border imported 48,000 tons of fresh durian, with a value of 1.85 billion yuan, mainly from Vietnam. In response to a decrease in import volume and value from Thailand, the Thai government has implemented measures such as extending the border port opening hours, providing low-interest loans to fruit buyers, and procuring fruits directly from producers to achieve this year's fruit-related targets. Additionally, efforts to promote Thai fruit consumption domestically and internationally, including on domestic flights and agricultural product trade fairs, are underway.
