The UAE continues its support for humanitarian response efforts in Sudan with $20 million.

The UAE continues its global leading role in supporting humanitarian response efforts in Sudan, through the signing of a cooperation agreement by the UAE International Humanitarian Aid Agency with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), whereby the UAE provides a grant of 20 million US dollars, with the aim of accelerating the emergency response in Sudan by providing food aid to the populations affected by the conflict and meeting the urgent food security needs of the most vulnerable groups, including displaced people in host communities. In the presence of Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Ameri, President of the UAE International Humanitarian Aid Agency, the agreement was signed by Rashid Salem Al Shamsi, Executive Director of Logistics Support at the UAE International Humanitarian Aid Agency, and Mr. Bashar Al Hamami, Director of the UAE Partnerships Office for the United Nations World Food Programme.
