The United States remains the largest market for Vietnamese scallops

Vietnamese scallop exports have seen significant growth, with the United States as the primary market, followed by Denmark and Japan. There has been a 131-fold increase in exports to the US and a 12% increase in exports to Japan. This growth is attributed to Japanese companies setting up facilities in Vietnam to process scallops for export to the US and ASEAN countries, with Japanese firms starting the pilot processing of Hokkaido scallops in Vietnam this year.
