The US Department of Agriculture's Foreign Agricultural Service has increased its sunflower oil export forecast from Russia for the current season to 4 million tons, up from 3.85 million tons, due to higher export rates. The export of sunflower meal is expected to be 2.2 million tons, and sunflower, 850 thousand tons. However, carry-over stocks of sunflower in Russia are expected to decrease. The export of soybean oil from Russia is estimated at 650 thousand tons this season. Overall, the Russian Federation is expected to export 5.77 million tons of basic vegetable oils this season.
