In 2020, US tea imports saw a decrease with a total volume of 107,360 tons and a value of $460.49 million, marking a 10.5% drop in volume and a 3.4% decrease in value compared to the previous year. The average price per ton of imported tea rose by 8% to $4,289.4. The US imported tea from Argentina, India, and China, with a notable increase in imports from India and a decrease in those from Argentina and China. Black tea was the primary type of tea imported, followed by green tea, with the majority coming from Argentina and India for a total of 89,540 tons and 16,160 tons, respectively. Both the volume and value of US tea imports from Vietnam decreased in 2020.
