Spain: The value of avocado exports increases by 9.8% until May and exceeds €185 million

The provinces of Malaga and Granada account for 97.5% of sales by the Andalusian community abroad The value of Andalusian avocado exports between January and May 2024 has increased by 9.8% compared to the same period of the previous year, having reached 185,258,000 euros. In terms of volume, an increase of 11.9% has been recorded, with a total of 54,397 tonnes in this same period. The value of avocado sales abroad during the first five months of this year represents 2.4% of the total value of all Andalusian exports in the same period, as well as 82.4% of Spanish exports of this subtropical fruit.
