The Veterinary Crisis Committee has called on the entire veterinary community to join the mobilizations again next November to have their right to dispense medications directly recognized. The committee, formed by all professional and scientific veterinary associations, professional colleges, and civic platforms, has called for participation in the upcoming demonstrations in Barcelona (November 9 at 11:00 AM in Plaça Sant Jaume) and Madrid (November 18 at 10:00 AM in front of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food). It has done so upon finding that "the proposals of the Ministries of Agriculture and Health are not advancing as the profession demands." It has also overwhelmingly supported the popular legislative initiative promoted by the Spanish Veterinary Business Confederation (CEVE), which has been admitted for processing, after another proposal from the General Council of Veterinarians of Spain was not admitted.
