The Kani-Kurgan checkpoint, launched in 2023, has led to a significant increase in the import of fruits and vegetables from China to the Amur region. Notably, banana supplies have surged from 39 tons to 1073 tons compared to the previous year. The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, Rosselkhoznadzor, has supervised the import of over 3.6 thousand tons of various types of fruits from China into the region.
