Moscow dairy exports saw a significant increase in 2020, with a 27.8% rise to $57.23 million and a 24.1% increase in volume from 23.06 thousand tons to 28.62 thousand tons. The growth is primarily due to the high demand for dairy products and the competitiveness of Moscow's goods. The exports were dominated by ice cream, followed by cheeses and cottage cheese. Kazakhstan was the main importer, with the United States, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, China, and Canada making up 80% of the total exports. There was also a 59.9% increase in exports of cheese and curd products, and a 26.2% increase in fermented milk products exports, with Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia being the main buyers. Mosprom emphasizes the importance of high quality, natural ingredients, and adherence to a healthy lifestyle in dairy products and plans to organize a buyer's program for metropolitan manufacturers to the Middle East, Azerbaijan, and Belarus in the spring and summer of 2021.
