During January-August 2025, the main export of Bulgarian cucumbers was directed to Germany. This destination received 57% of the domestic shipments of the vegetable. Poland received 25% of the exports, and Romania 15%. The total export of cucumbers during this period was 3,052 tons and was 27% larger compared to the same period of the previous year. The export of tomatoes during the eight months from the beginning of 2025 was more than twice that of cucumbers - 7,524 tons. Compared to the same period of 2024, it was 10% smaller. The production was mainly directed to neighboring Romania (30%) and Poland (23%). Only 12% of the tomato shipments were oriented towards Germany. During January-August of this year, we exported a total of 45,710 tons of fruits, which is 4.5% less compared to 2024. Of these, 23,606 tons were re-exports (citrus fruits, bananas).
