In the first ten months of 2025, Argentine exports to China totaled 7,687 million dollars, a figure 42.8% higher than the same period in 2024, according to official data. This growth is mainly explained by the increase in soybean shipments within the framework of extraordinary purchases made by the Asian nation as a consequence of the trade conflict maintained with the U.S. "It is a record of foreign currency that has been generated with the export of soybeans to China, but it is not the only product, because China is also key in terms of sorghum and barley," said today Gustavo Idígoras, president of Ciara-CEC, during a talk offered at the China Agribusiness Day event held at the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange.
