The WorldPeanut Meeting (WPM), hosted for the first time in-person in Córdoba, Argentina, attracted over 350 participants from 30 countries to discuss the global peanut market's current state and future. Organized by the Argentine Peanut Chamber (CAM), the event underscored the resilience and growth opportunities within the market, particularly in peanut butter consumption, and the increasing demand for sustainable production practices. Representatives from countries including Nicaragua, the United States, Argentina, India, China, and Brazil shared insights on market supply and demand, challenges such as rising planting costs, climatic conditions, and aflatoxin issues, and the strong global demand for peanuts. The meeting also highlighted Argentina's focus on producing premium, sustainable peanut products and its optimistic production and export projections for the current campaign.
