The aim of the inspection of the fish trade units is to ensure that safe, high-quality fish products of proven origin are delivered to the shops and on the dining table at all times of the year, writes Nébih. This aspect and, of course, the legal provisions in force have been violated in the 17 cases where proceedings were initiated by state fish guards.
