According to EastFruit, the Ukrainian market is struggling with a shortage of high-quality potatoes. Wholesalers and retail chains have difficulty purchasing good quality potatoes that meet their needs. This gives farmers the opportunity to increase prices for high-quality potatoes. Currently, Ukrainian growers supply such products at a minimum price of 16-23 UAH/kg (0.42-0.60 USD/kg), which is about 14% higher than last week. According to EastFruit, market participants note that the supply of high-quality potatoes on Ukrainian farms is decreasing, while the demand for this product is increasing.
